The 8th Regiment

The 8th Regiment of the National Society of Pershing Rifles was rechartered in 2001. It was the first of currently six regimental commands to recharter and is composed of approximately ten Pershing Rifles units across four states; New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland (to include the District of Columbia). The headquarters is responsible for the wellbeing of the following units:

  • Company D-8: Fordham University
  • Company E-8: The John's Hopskins University
  • Company F-8: Syrcause University
  • Company G-8: Howard University
  • Company J-8: Morgan State University
  • Company K-8: Seton Hall University
  • Company O-8: Canisius College
  • Company Q-8: Hofstra University
  • Company X-8: Univesity of Delaware
  • Company Z-8: Rochester Institute of Technology

Regimental Headquarters

The location for the 8th Regimental Headquarters is determined by the location of the Regimental Commander, elected each spring to serve a term of one year. This year, the Regimental Commander hails from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.
